This isn't Express related, but of interest to fans of Owatonna hockey.
Owatonnan Jake Pence, just finished his rookie year as a defenseman for the Ft. Wayne Komets of the International Hockey League. Including playoffs, he played in 88 games, scoring 2 goals and 11 assists, and finishing with a +21. The Komets won the Turner Cup IHL Championship with an exciting triple overtime win in game 7.
Jake played his college hockey at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, and is looking at playing professional hockey in Finland this coming up season.
