I would love to have something Express related to blog about, but there just isn't anything happening. By the way, I added a countdown timer to the home opener to the blog.
Here are some tidbits from around the NAHL:
Some oddities in the expansion Wenatchee Wild's schedule: They have almost a month off between the showcase and their first regular season game. They do not play a single league game in the month of December. Then they have a stretch of 38 games in 79 days.
Traverse City only plays 1 game outside of their division after the showcase.
Bismarck doesn't play a single non-division game after the showcase.
St Louis plays 19 games outside their division after the showcase, including 4 with the Express.
North Iowa took another hit, as Joe Harcharik, their leading returning scorer, apparently made the roster of the Des Moines Bucs(USHL).
1 week until tryout camp.

who are the kids on the slide show?
The slideshow is just a generic "hockey" slide show, and nobody in particular. Once we get some of our own guys on the ice, I'll get some pictures of them, and change the slideshow.
How many are projected as coming to the tryout? Does it cost to watch? Will there be refreshments?
I would hope there would be well over 100 players at camp, but I am not privy to that kind of information.
I'm almost positive there is no charge to watch tryouts.
The concession stand will be open, so yes, refreshments are available.
The goaltending ought to be very good. Apparently there were alot of applicants for the 12 tryout positions.
