Sports writer, Ian Stauffer has an article in today's People's Press about tryout camp.
Highlights from the article:
- The Express are expecting around 120 players in attendance
- 6 current Owatonna Huskies players and 1 2008 OHS graduate are attending
- Thursday's schedule starts at 9:30am with a Goalie Session until 11:30am, and then the games start at noon.
- The Tryout Camp All-Star Game will be Sunday at 11:00am.
The People's Press website is down, so I can't link to the story, but check back later. Or you could splurge, and spend the 50 cents to buy a copy.

Why so many kids. This is an obvious fundraiser and makes us look bad. As a non-profit, whats the point?
Because it is a new team and they need to look at as many kids as they can! It was late in the game and they couldn't have two camps!! Relaxe every other team does this it is nothing new!!
Come on 120!
I would think if the coaches scouted well you could do 4 teams and probably get a better look at the kids.
Same old same old.
You guys just don't have a clue!!
At the first camp last year in June they had 120 kids and it all work out fine. Six team with 20 players each. All I know is it's going to be great to see Express hockey again this weekend!!
Fundraiser is a YES, but it takes money to pay the bills and the coaches salaries, (they are high) and pay for all the promo.
120 kids is not even close more like 80. Couple of donators kids are on gonna be on the team.
Wrong, 120 is the number and probably not any donators kids on the team.
