Adam Schmidt - 5'11" - Forward
'90 Birth Year out of Warrington, PA. In 2007/08, played for LaSalle College - High School, and The Valley Forge Minutemen of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League. His team at LaSalle HS, won the Pennsylvania state championship his senior year, in the arena in Johnstown, PA where many of the hockey scenes in "Slapshot" were filmed. With the Valley Forge Minutemen, he scored 14 goals and 22 assists in 20 games. He was a 13th round draft pick of the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL.
My take: Has scoring touch, and isn't afraid of the physical aspects of the game. With the Minutemen, a majority of his 40 penalty minutes were Roughing penalties. He is on Sioux City's 30-man roster/protected list. USHL rosters need to be cut down to 25 by July 1, and down to 23 before the regular season begins, so there is a chance we will see him this fall.
Welcome to Owatonna Adam Schmidt.

This is way too much info written by an outsider, must be, Dave or Bill or their PM Pat?
Coaches cannot type in the way this is presented, especially Cullen, heck can he even write?
Whoever it is they're doing ALOT of work and its going to be fun to take some notes with while watching tryouts.
Really, Pat C cannot write anything well but his name on a check for cashing. HAHA
Dont get me started about Fink.
I will eventually let the public know who I am, but at this point, I value my anonimity. I will say this: I am not Dave or Bill, and I haven't even met Pat. However, I will be forever grateful to Dave and Bill for their contribution in bringing junior hockey back to Owatonna.
Yeah, and if we believe that we are really in a hole.
Who ever it is, doesnt really matter, its doomed anyway. Pat hates this junk.
It doesn't matter if Cullen hates this "junk" It's entertainment and so far, whoever BK is, he/she is doing a great job. Keep it up!!!
BK, Keep up the GOOD work and things will be better.
BK, thanks for your time that you are putting into this blog. It is fun to get a little info on the boys coming to the try out camp. Now we can put name to new faces and skills to the new names. Forget what the HATERS are typing. They are all chicken shits that hide behind the ANONYMOUS name. Can wait for the camps. See you at the rink!
Hey everybody, Faribogopherguy here. I would've posted as that, but I have a different name for a baseball related blog that I do.
Big Kahuna, keep up the good work, you seem very passionate about what you're doing on this blog. Unfotrunately there are parasites that seem to be taken aback by not knowing exactly who are. Of course they aren't going to grow a pair large enough to tell anyone who they are either.
They will only get worse. If you ever state your own opinion about ANYTHING, the parasites will come out two-fold.
Amazing, newspaper columnists can put their opinions in writing for all to see and people may not agree with what's written but they don't piss and moan like the people do on here when the same is done.
Not sure how a blog is held to a higher standard than a newspaper, but oddly enough it is on here.
Let's hope the parasites die off with the cold weather come hockey season, and we can enjoy conversation on here.
Eric you are silly. We are big fans and we do not like junk.
I will vote and 2nd that motion. Eric you are still wet behind your ears and you need to practice being more MN Nice! BK, please continue to show more goodness.
Jan/Owatonna
MN Nice?? Why, becouse some people need to hide behind an anonymous blog name to ATTACK people and this team. I respect people that can give an honest opinion that is postive or negitive & don't need to hide. I'm sure that I'm not the only blogger here that feels that way. Just remember that this is only MY OPINION!! I like that Faribogopherguy explained in his post why he blog in under the anonymos name.
i dont no anyone in town named eric marshall and i checked.
Eric is either Dave or Bill. I checked with a valid no all. HE HE HE
