So, the Outlaws knocked us down a peg Wednesday night, beating the Express 6-2. As much as we would all like the Express to go 58-0 on the season, it's not realistic. The guys are going to lose games from time to time, but the important thing is that they do not let that poor performance affect them tonight against Springfield.
The Express have had a spirited rivalry with Springfield over the years, and I would expect that to continue this weekend, even though the Jr Blues are no longer in the Central Division. The Jr Blues are in 3rd place in the South Division, with a record of 7-12-4. They have some offensive firepower, but have trouble keeping the puck out of their own net, giving up the 4th most goals against in the NAHL. Keep an eye out for former Express forward Scott Barrera who wears #10 for the Jr Blues.
Big Kahuna's Predictions:
Express 3 - Jr Blues 1
The Express rebound tonight with solid effort. They learned a lesson or two Wednesday night, and won't let that happen again tonight. I look for the Express to come out and play more physical, which will lead to scoring chances.
