Game 1 of a big 3 game weekend tips off tonight at 7pm, with the Bismarck Bobcats as the opponent. The 4th place Express trail the 3rd place Bobcats by 3 points in the standings, with 3 games in hand. If things go well for the Express, the Bobcats could be looking up at the Express by the end of the weekend. This is the third meeting this season with Bismarck, with each team winning once. Both games have been low scoring contests featuring great goaltending performances by both teams.
The Express have continued to get better as the season progresses, and hopefully the powerplay unit, which came to life last Saturday night, has it figured out. The first two times Bismarck was in town, I would have said they were the better team, but I think the Express have pulled even with them over the last few weeks.
Big Kahuna's Predictions: (I'm 88-43 on the season)
Express 3 - Bobcats 2
This should be a tight game, and I wouldn't be surprised if it takes overtime or a shootout to decide a winner. The Express get the victory and head to North Iowa Saturday night with a .500 record.
Mahoning Valley over Motor City
Marquette over Alpena
Alexandria over Albert Lea
St Louis over Springfield
Wichita Falls over Wenatchee
Alaska over Kenai River
See you at the rink.

Tough Loss.
BK - Was wondering why there are no captains on the team. Is this usual of a Cullen coached team? If not, do you think there is a reason?
Pappy
Pappy -
That's a good question, and I don't have an answer for you. I believe there were captains on Cullen's first two Express teams, but I can't remember for sure.
