Express forward Cory Thorson was one of 9 current NAHL players on the NHL's Central Scouting Players to Watch List for the 2009 draft. You can read the entire release here: http://www.nahl.com/news/story.cfm?id=641
Congratulations Cory!!
My take: This is a nice feather in the Express organizations cap. Cullen and Fink know how to find talent, and the talent knows that Owatonna is one of the best places to play in the NAHL. Talent will get noticed no matter where they play, but the Express have the advantage of being a short drive for all the scouts in the metro area. As the word gets out that the Express train is back on track, things will only get better. The talent level will climb higher, and the Express will once again be the team everybody wants to play for.

I would not take it that far. Lets keep it humble.

- I can understand your comment about being humble, but I standby every comment I made.

What team in the NHL will he be drafted by?
Is he going to a D1 school?

- Basically what the "Players to Watch" list does is give the individual NHL teams a couple hundred of guys to keep an eye on. It is no guarantee that they will be drafted, and there will be players not on the list that will get drafted.
I would guess he is getting looks from D1 schools, but this is only his 1st year of junior hockey, so he has some time to develop.
