Well, thanks to a nasty virus called "Antivirus XP 2008", I now have a brand new computer. If you happen to see that pop-up on your computer, get your checkbook out, because it will be expensive.
- There is a write-up about all of the Central Division coaches on the NAHL website. You can read it here: http://www.nahl.com/news/story.cfm?id=553 It was a fairly brief article, and had a couple of paragraphs on our favorite coach.
- Don't forget that you can park at the old Hardee's lot if you're going to the fair. It's only $3, and the proceeds go to the Express.
- You can still buy season tickets at the lower price through Friday, so get yours today.
The comments feature is open, and don't forget you can contact me privately at owatonnaexpress@yahoo.com.
Thanks for reading.

What did the virus do? Totally kill your computer?
Who is our favorite coach? Simon? (?)
Welcome back Dave. What the heck happened to your pc? Are we at risk?
Hello and welcome back to blog land. Sure miss reading the info on here.
Been reading the stuff on GR (wow).
BK:
Missed the blog spot while you were down.
I lost a computer last year to a virus. Cost me tons for a new pc etc.
According to the Geek Squad, the virus could have entered my computer through any number of means. I wasn't even using my computer when it first popped up. It passes itself off as a virus scanner, and then tells you it has found an absurd amount of viruses on your computer. You can't get it off the screen, and it constantly reminds you of the viruses on your computer, which ties up your operating memory making your computer run really slow. If you click on their offer to fix your problem (I didn't), apparently it is even worse, up to the point of crashing your hard-drive/motherboard. I had the most updated version of Norton AntiVirus on my computer, and all Norton could do was tell me I had a problem. The Geek Squad folks said they could probably get the virus off of my computer, but there would be no gaurantees. The cost to remove the virus was about half of what a new computer would cost, so I opted for the new computer.

any coorelation between Glassrattler and hockey discussion is purely accidental.
My all-time favorite coach is Jerry Burns from the Vikings, but in this instance I was of course referring to Coach Cullen.
Thanks for the info on the problem virus. It is amazing how someone can create something like that and it takes over your computer. Its scary.

I realize some of you folks may have a hard time with reading comprehension, so I'll keep repeating myself until you get it. I am not Dave, nor am I married to anyone named Brenda. I do know Dave and Brenda, and appreciate everything they have done in the last 3 years for this organization.
On the glassrattler comment: I joined that forum in 2006, and enjoyed it until recently. My only problem with it then was it seemed to be primarily about the South Division, and there wasn't much about the Central Division. However, it has gotten so vicious over there, and every single thread immediately turns into a bunch of idiots calling each other names. I am all for trash talking, but that is just mean spirited personal attacks. Yes, I read the post about how glassrattler was formed so people would have a place to talk crap to each other, but it has gone too far in my opinion.

I love reading Glassrattler, its so funny at times. Very informational at other times. We certainly are an active group on the forum. Very active.
I also know the Swensons. They have been active with the team, but in my opinion a bit overly too much for my take.
BK, the other rag glassrattler, is a spot for those with a chip on their shoulder to vent. Very sad imo.
I prefer this blog. Though there are some with views that differ from mine, the posters are civil.

Dave has been at the rink a lot, maybe he has free time on his hands. Who cares, unless he sits on the bench.
BK, Welcome back dude!
Are the players reporting soon?
"Are the players reporting soon?" - the players report for training camp on September 1st (Labor Day).
Glassrattler, it's occasionally good comedy, occasionally good hockey info and not much else.
Cullen is not a well liked coach in the nahl.
We all know about the coaches personality, but he tries.
