Express Player Profiles - Erickson & Randall

-Express Player Profile - Dane Erickson - Forward - 6'0"/182lbs - Jersey #18

Somebody else put together a nice profile of him you can read it here: http://starzofminnesota.com/profiles2/Erickson.pdf

-Express Player Profile - Sean Randall - Forward - 6'1"/194lbs - Jersey #24

1989 birth year from Coon Rapids, Minnesota. 2007/08 scored 24 goals and 34 assists for Coon Rapids High School. His 58 points was 2nd most in the tough Northwest Suburban Conference, behind fellow Coon Rapids and Express teammate Zach Vierling. Was also named Honorable Mention All-State his senior year. Played in the Minnesota Elite League on the same team as Nick Carson and Cory Thorson.

My take: A couple of nice forwards with some scoring ability. Both are over 6' tall, and both look to be strong skaters. Erickson had a pretty backhand goal against Fairbanks Saturday night, on an opportunity he basically created himself. I look for these guys to get better as the season progresses, as they get use to the speed and physicality of the NAHL game.

B.K.,

Do the players have to attend school? Do they have a curfew?

Two of the guys were out very late last night, (after 12am).

Bummer, just found out that there is no alcohol sold in the Showcase.

Whats up with that?

Express, lets go!

- The way it was explained to me back in 2005 when the Express first came to Owatonna was this: The players either need to be taking classes, or have a job. I'm not sure what the requirements are for the players. Maybe someone with a little more knowledge on that can post a reply.

Yes they have a curfew, but I don't know the specifics.

- As you're driving north on I-35, take a right at the fork which will put you on 35E. Continue driving north through the capitol city of Minnesota. Tip your cap as you drive by the holy shrine (XCel Energy Center). When 35E joins back up with 35W, keep going north for a few more miles. You will want to take a right onto US Highway 8. Follow that east for a few miles, and then on your right, you'll see a place called the Hazeldon Clinic. Turn into the parking lot, turn off the car, and walk in the main entrance. Tell them you need a room for a few nights, they'll understand.

Just kidding my friend. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you at the rink Wednesday afternoon.

I agree. Erickson's goal against Fairbanks was nice. A couple nice ones against Kenai also.
