Thursday Tidbits

- There have been a couple of comments submitted in the last 24 hours pertaining to the Express home opener and the Lamont Cranston concert afterwards. I purposely did not post the comments to the blog to avoid spreading mis-information. I contacted the organization to clarify the issue, and this is the official word: Regular tickets are available at the regular prices for the home opener, separate from the package that includes admission to the Lamont Cranston concert following the game. In the future, instead of flying off the handle, take a deep breath, count to 10, and quit assuming the worse.

- The Bismarck Bobcats have released their training camp roster. Included on the roster are former Express players Jordan Singer, Devin Schmitt, and Derek Kohles. In the coming weeks, I'll do a preview of the Bobcats along with the other Central Division teams.

- Mike Guentzel, former assistant coach with the Gophers and father of former Express players Gabe and Ryan, will reportedly take an assistant coach position with Colorado College. Gabe Guentzel is entering his freshman year at CC, and Ryan is playing at Notre Dame. Read the article here: http://cchockey.freedomblogging.com/2008/09/02/guentzel-to-join-cc-coaching-staff/

- The Motor City Machine have also released their roster which includes former Express players Ben Danford and Andy Inderieden amongst others.

- From the official Express website: The new/redesigned website is scheduled to launch the week of the NAHL Showcase.
